Okay, so i'm 21.
I've met a boy that is 17 and is still in school.
He's really sweet and pretty hot.

Does that make me a creep? Since it's 4 years difference.

My friends keep taking the piss out of me about it, but to be honest, i don't care. My brother is the same age as me and his boyfriend is also 17 [but his isn't still at school, which kinda makes his situation a bit better].

Okay, so when I was growing up and starting to consider my sexuality the only gay TV personalities were Boy George and Julian Clary. To be honest, JC always made me very unconfortable with his overt campness, but for a while I thought that to be a proper gay you had to act like that.

I see a great number of gay lads who seem to try to fit with the stereotype... nasal voice, floppy wrists, too much foundation etc etc and I wonder if it would be healthier to have role models who have been able to be themselves, rather than some grotesque actobased on a perception of what gayness should be?

I say live and let live, but wonder if anyone had had a similar thought.

BTW... I also think Julian Clary was a hero for breaking tnto mainstream media... but at the same time he has created an expectation in the community at large of what a gay should be.

Ask yourself this, can you be too much of one thing and not of another?

Can you be too welcoming and nice, that you become part of the furniture? Is it possible to become to reliable and too helpful and friendly that you end up being the doormat?

Don't get me wrong, you can defend yourself and hold your own in an argument, but when it comes to things that matter, issues of the heard or emergencies, then are you simply expected to be there and do as you always have?

For the most of us we go through our daily lives trying to be as helpful as we can. Lend a hand here, Be shoulder to cry on there, but can you take this too far? Can you be too nice?

It does happen, I've seen it. Among the Straight world guys that are everything a girl looks for are seen as sweet, and that's it. The girl then wonders off the the total arsehole regardless of his level of charm. In the Gay world this happens too.

Its a sad fact of life that the good guys finish last. But hey, at least we can sleep at night. or can we?

As time has gone on I think people have forgotten that there is an order of things in the world. Take for example the wonderful world of dating...

Now, usually in the dating process up to date number 3 you were still able to "look around" as technically you aren't seeing this person. your only just getting to know them... You then sort of filter out whether or not ou can see it going anywhere and by then its the 3rd date so you can test the sex and its all good...

Has anyone noticed these days that this process has been thrown out the window? Noticed that, its usually sex on the first date, that people presume that simply because you've been on 1 dates that you are committed to that person and that you are destined to carry on dating and being together?

Phoeey!!! When you ask someone out after a few dates you declare to the world that this is the person you are now seeing and that your are faithful to them. Not on the first date...it could go wrong? they could be a nutter? I'm not saying that either myself or others have people queing up, or indeed that you should sleep around. But instead, please drop the illusion that someone should be totally faithful to someone after the 1st date. It just isn't done and only opens people up to disappointment.

Seriously though, am I the only person that remembers the old ways of dating? I know I'm old fashioned but surely to build a relationship with someone you start with firm foundations. Thats what the dating process is for surely? Or maybe this process is for "straight" couples. Because us Gays don't really build families etc we don't need to have such a firm foundation for relationships? Am I Wrong?

I always find it amazing how the human brain will always engage mouth before brain.

Science states that language is something we can control consciously. But humanity seems to want to proove otherwise...

Half the issues that go on in the world, if people actually thought about what was going on, processed it logcially, then you wouldn't have half as much issues as we do today.

I'm guilty of it, as are we all... Instead of trusting what we know about people we instead chose to believe what is placed in front of us.

Take for example close friends. Now, In an ideal world, if 1 friend happens to be informed that their best friend had said something nasty about them while they were not there. Logically, you would take on board this information, and approach your friend to get the truth. IN THIS WORLD however that doesn't happen.

We automatically trust the source of information and go storming off to said friend guns blazing after blood... why? Why run the risk of loosing a friend of something that may not be true? Why go against all logical evidence that says that your mate doesn't do such things and have a go at them anyway?

All it does is create issues where there are none. and yet we are all guilty of it?

Why?

Its currently 2.40am, I start a 12 hour shift at work at 5.30am and I cant fucking sleep. This is probably because I've been on nights for the last month or so and my body isnt used to sleeping during the night lol I've tried everything, even counting sheep, but because my brain is still wide awake and my imagination is running riot I lay counting sheep, get to about 10 sheep then something mad will happen like the sheep start invading a village and eating everybody - crazy shit I tell yee! I mean, aren't we constantly striving to be accepted as normal? With civil ceremonies and adoption rights? Doesn't a yearly pride parade contradict what we are seeking in acceptance. We don't have a straight pride parade?

After a year of changing my mind, I've decided I really want to do a PGCE starting in Sept 09. I am from Sheffield, did my degree in Newcastle, but I'm feeling a change of scenery. Ok, I know this subject is a little different and many people have different beliefs and stuff but i would like to get an idea on what people think.

Not so long backk i went to see a Physical medium demonstration - they're very rare and infact only around 6 people in the UK do this form of demonstration. We're all aware of Colin Fry etc etc who asks lots of questions and trys to pass messages on! WELL this is totally different, Physical means exactly what it says, you hear, feel, witness physicaly the presence of people who have passed on.

Now i've been sitting in development for years on and off as nan, mum, great nan are all mediums but this shocked me! In the room there was 5 people in pitch black and illuminous tabs to mark areas and I actualy had a one on one conversation with a dead relative, and when i say one on one I mean I could HEAR THEM (and I asssure you that was there very distinct voice)I felt them because they touched me and shook hands with me in a way that only I can know, and they told me things that NO one could know - I spoke to them as clearly as i could chat to someone in the pub etc! and this happened to more than one of us!

I know people are skeptical etc and i do beleive 100% that a skeptic could be punched in the face and wouldn't beleive it - but I know what I expereinced!

What would you people make of that? Because i find it exceptionaly stunning and moving to have expereienced something i didn't think possible!

i had this talk with some friends today and it made me laugh at some of them i just wanted to know YOUR funnest memory

Mine is. . . .

a couple of years back i went to Blackpool with the family for a weekend away and while we was there we went in Pleasure land (the theme park) and well all of us execpt my dad and uncle went into the hall of mirrors (they waited outside for us) And well yeah we was i nthere for a while and i though i was smart and knew the way. . (but boy was i wrong). . . i ran for a while Turned around and shouted this way! And next thing you know im being carried out in a strecher ends up i ran into the plastic pane thing ends up i was out cold for 20 mins and when i woke up i had a nice black eye and fat lip

Since the film Mamma Mia was first announced i've been over the moon and have really gotten into ABBA

been downloading everything, rare tracks, french tracks, german tracks, spanish tracks etc. etc. They are so amazing. I love so many bands of the 00's but ABBA's music really is AMAZING, and i envy everyone who has had the chance to see them live

OMG they are reuniting tonite for the first time in 25 years at the Swedish premiere of MAMMA MIA... will be amazing. wish they would do a comeback

I don't mean to be insensitive or evil but to be honest, I think there is far too much "hype" and "focus" on the recent increase of teen stabbings. Don't get me wrong, this crime should stop but why is everyone soo shocked when someone gets stabbed?

People are always in the news for being shot or ran over or stabbed so why is it when ever someone else gets stabbed its seems to be top news as if we've never heard of a stabbing.

And one thing that really really frustrated me was that boy who was the brother of that Eastenders star. On every fucking front page it said " Eastenders star's brother stabbed"

whats the significance of who here sister is?

I just don't get it, and the thing is.children go missing everyday, and people get stabbed everyday but only a few ever make the press...

I just hate this focus on stabbings.in all honestly its scary and its making out the streets are worse than they are...it has made my grandad soo paranoid that ill get stabbed that he rings me like every hour..no jokes.
